Dress Code
The LCISD Secondary dress code can be found in the LCISD Secondary Student Handbook (pages 34-36), but a quicklook is posted below. Key notes include:

Tops- any collared shirt, t-shirt, sweatshirt w/appropriate words/pictures. Must cover midriff area. If sleeveless, straps must be wider than "3 fingers".

Pants- Acceptable pants/jeans worn at the waist- not baggy- no holes/tears that expose skin. Leggings worn must be accompanied with a top that covers mid-thigh length.

Shorts- Acceptable shorts are not shorter than mid-thigh.

Shoes- Athletic or otherwise shoes with closed toes. House shoes/slides are not allowed.

ID's- Students will be issued a Student ID that must be worn around the neck at all times.

Cell Phones
Cell Phones can be brought to school but must be kept in students' backpacks during the instructional school day. Upon entering the building, students must keep cell phones out of sight. If a student's cell phone is seen (ex: in their pocket or in their hands), it will be confiscated by school staff and will result in disciplinary consequences.
The LCISD Communications Device Policy includes:

- 🎧Earbuds/Earphones
First Week of School Grace Period*:
This LCISD Communications Devices Policy must be followed beginning the first day of school; however, consequences will not be as severe.
Any phone seen during the first week of school will be confiscated by WMS Administrators, held for the remainder of the day, and returned to students at the end of the day.
*Please note that official consequences/referrals for this offense will be issued beginning the second week of school.

A new Texas Law (HB 1481) has been passed, which strictly restricts student device use during the school day. (see image below)
